Kristin Larson, CPA
Founder & Principal Advisor — Larson Advisory Group.
25+ years of finance, accounting, and operations leadership
across venture-backed companies at every stage.
The Practitioner Behind the Practice
Kristin Larson began her career at Ernst & Young, where she built the accounting and analytical foundation that has defined her practice for over two decades. Since then, her work has centered almost entirely on small to mid-sized venture-backed companies — organizations with complex ownership structures, investor expectations, and the unique pressures that come with operating at the frontier of capital deployment.
Over 25 years, she has been responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, operations, and human resources — not in a siloed advisory role, but as an integrated part of leadership teams doing the actual work. That experience shapes everything about how Larson Advisory Group approaches distressed situations: with an operator's understanding of what is real, not just what the financials show.
"Do whatever it takes for the company to succeed — or, when that is no longer possible, for every stakeholder to receive the best outcome achievable from the situation at hand."
Kristin is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of Richmond with a degree in Business Administration, concentration in Accounting. She has served on the Board of Directors of a local non-profit organization for over ten years, including multiple leadership roles across committees — a commitment to governance and fiduciary responsibility that extends beyond client work.
